Ladies.....Marian is right ....you are all amazing to start this weight loss programme considering what you have and still are going through. It will be an honour to join with Marian as a cheerleader. You guys sound so committed however, I don't think a lot of cheerleading will be required however.
Here's another little tip.....use cinnamon in your tea, coffee and cereal .....it is good for regulating sugar in the blood. No calories and you may even end up not using sugar
at all.
Chia is something else I take everyday....good source of omega 3 and fibre and they say
It is good for weight loss also, but no guarantees on that one. It is tasteless so you can basically sprinkle it on most things.
I was never a great fan of the treadmill either, but my younger son downloaded a whole bunch of my favourite songs from the sixties and seventies.....I know gals, what can I say? I'm an oldie too...lol. and now I really enjoy my time on that beast. I have it
next to my bed, so I have to either trip over it or get on it!!!!!!
Ok gals.....my calculator is ready for those big numbers that are coming....💃💃💃0 -
Here is who I have so far. Anyone else want to join in let me know and we’ll add you to the list.
I am trying to look on this as eating healthier and smaller portions – every time I say diet I crave chocolate and all the wrong things - so here's to us.

Count me in! I was on WW in 2011 and lost 25lbs then 2012 happened. I maintained at 178 but crazily enough over the holidays I lost 6! So I am starting this new round of weight loss at 172. My goal is not a specific number I just want to look flat in my ab area.
Tazzy live the puppy!
Juneau looking awesome! I've been having trouble getting my eye rx settled so now he wants me to go to retina dr to see if anything macular is going on. Ahh the lovely tamoxifen SEs!
And McCook you are a girl after my heart except my favorite is creamy limoncello! Served frozen of course!
Ladies have a happy Friday. Our friend left today after being here for the holidays so DH and I are gonna spend some quality time together catching up on American Horror Story!0 -
Tazzy ....that's great.....my calculator is all fired up....hey. I was wondering if we shouldn't
have a little prize for the most lost, say in three months.....a little incentive perhaps...
I'm sure you gals will have no problems coming up with some ideas....lol0 -
Yes, ladies, watch out on the treadmill. A lady here in town fell while using hers and broke her neck. Left her paralyzed.

Scottie - good idea about a little incentive - will give that some thought and look forward to hearing others thoughts.

Ok, I'm in! I started my journey at 178 but after being carved up and radiated and after 7 months of Arimidex I weight 162. I would love to lose more!
I love all of your suggestions!
I have a treadmill and disco music I haven't heard in years. I will try that. I'd never make it to a gym.
Coffee and tea don't taste good to me any longer so I'm enjoying a cup of hot water with lemon. I added cinnamon today and its good!
We are all winners for just trying! Just for playing, I will send anyone who wants one a bracelet. Beading is how I spend my spare time. Just let me know where to send it: of course I can't figure out how to attach a photo, computer challenged but pick your own style from our site: www.notallangelesareinheaven.com and then email me at ideawrks@aol.com
Together we can do this!0 -
I weighed 229 the last day of rads. Am down to 194. Hope to get down to 129 but the doctor thinks that's a little light.

2friedeggs, You live near Disney? When I was in a steroid stupor during chemo, I sommehow agreed to chaperone our High School Band trip there the first week in April. Looking back, what the hell was I thinking- a 20 hour bus ride with 90 teenagers? I did save a few ativan... It should be fun though, as most are good kids and I have never been there before.
Thanks for the stomach bug well wishes, feeling a bit better now, especially since I found out there is truly a bug going around town and it might not be the cancer returning. We do know how to drive ourselves crazy, don' t we?
I can just picture our cheerleaders in their little outfits, maybe waving heads of lettuce instead of pompoms.0 -
I personally wil have kale .....lettuce is so passé.....lol

Your bracelets are beautiful.
I am grateful for the cheerleaders but so jealous .... I hope you have big Pom Poms ready to cheer LOUD.0 -
The link should be working? Can you try pasting it in your browser? Maybe this site is blocking it. Here it is again.

Believe- your bracelets are absolutely beautiful! I love them all, but I think my favorite is #1800. We are all winners just for trying.
Scottie & Tazzy- Thank you for the kind words earlier in the post. You two have been a big cheerleader for me since I came on here. I appreciate you both so much I will never be able to tell you thank you enough. I love you all!

Scottiee, looks like our cheerleader list is growing too. I think for everything, support is needed. I think we all know that with what we have been through or continue to go through.

Marian and Scottie,
Let's start with a "you go girls....if anybody can do it, you can do it!!"
"you can do it, you can do it"
Now say it with a beat ........that was our first official cheer.
Corny I know, but we gotta start somewhere and this is my 1st try at cheerleading:)0 -
301724: I get my massage at the hospital by someone experienced with BC patients.
2Fried; that's like another favorite saying of mine..."some days your the bird, others the statue".
Ladies: due to confusion I have changed my avatar with my glasses to one without. It may be tar far away, so I might change it again...just to keep you lot on you toes!0 -
Tazzy: so each week will you show new weight and total loss (or gain) fit that week? Also, where do you and Scorchy get all those wonderful smileyface gifs?
Love all the cheerleaders we have here. I must agree with Tazzy, this isn't a diet ; it's a lifestyle change. I did this last year. The first two weeks SUCKED, then I was doing much better. Stopped feeling angry/pissed off all the time.0
