Just a quick check in for me... glad to see Michelle and all the old familiar faces checking in here!!!

I have not found a job yet, and I am realizing it's going to be hard because somehow I ended up in a specialty field... BUT a friend has hooked me up with her boyfriend and I'm working from home for him and making some side money... so that should hold me over.

I just got over the poison ivy last Thursday!  2 1/2 weeks.  I have no desire to go near any single plant area in my entire yard ever again... and I SUCKS that I can't enjoy my yard.  My husband was out there clearing out the vines last weekend and the work he had to do to be clean and oil free afterwards... what a pain in the ass!  Anyway, now I have a bumpy rash all over my arms. Most likely a result of all the creams and steriods being rubbed on the for over 2 weeks.  ARGH!

Keep sending me good vibes for

Glad to hear people are healing and recovering from surgeries... and yes - it's crazy to look forward to surgery; but it puts us back together, right?

     xoxoxo ladies

Thanks for all the well wishes:)  I will go party in anyone pocket. I am ready for a vacation and I have not seen NY so I am there :)

I am going in for my first ever breast MRI next week. Took me a year but finally found a Dr that agreed I should have one just to be on the safe side.  I am a bit worried about the tunnel and do have left over loopy drugs from last year that I can take. :)  You all can come join me in my pocket if you feel like you need a trip to ND.  Its nice here this time of year :)

My BIL sister (some of u may remember she was diagnosed with peritineal cancer last yr 43yrs old), is leaving hospice care tomoro to die at home., so a tough few weeks ahead. Believe I am truely jealous of all your travel.♡. I have spotted a few of our gals having a great summer together...(scottie & gang!!). Ty for the well wishes.

Ireland so sorry about your BIL sister. that is always so hard-- Hugs...  Congrats on going back to school. I did that a few years ago- online- it was tough but fun at the same time :)

Jo have a great visit with the outlaws- LOL--  You still go for check ups every three months. I wonder if I will stay at 3 months now that I am a year out or if they will switch me to 6?  My Oncologist is leaving so I will have to see a new one- Was hoping the Cancer Center would get a female oncologist.

    Take care everyone :)

Anyone out there receive intermediate onc score (inconclusive results by 40%) and then do mamma print which came back high NOT doing chemo and tamox?  What is your experience?  How are you surviving it?

thank you! Was very weird I got a print out of my next Mammo appt in the mail and now instead of seeing my BS I'll be seeing the NP and they wrote that he moved me to "survivorship"!

On another moving forward note I made an appt with a acupuncturist who also practices Chinese medicine. A woman I know who had throat cancer goes to her and she said that after her first session she started getting some taste buds back. We'll see!

Every single woman with BC is a survivor. The fact that that we lived to be diagnosed means we have survived. The fact that we passed through diagnosis, surgery, chemo, treatment,  stress and financial burdens makes us survivors. We have all cried a river.

     Stage 0 or beyond...all survivors.

I bow to all of you ( and me too!)

    Amen Raider Girl!

I got the best surprise today - our friend (more like family) drive in from Arizona! Said he didn't want to miss our Labor Day party! Came out of the laundry room and he was standing in my kitchen! So happy! Haven't seen him since Christmas 2012.

Be strong Tazzy! And stock up on some good Australian Shiraz!

Thanks all for the pocket party I needed you all when they had to try for an IV 3 times I am so much a problem child when it comes to veins.. Did you all enjoy the beating of the MRI machine, was bummed they do not provide headphones with music just ear plugs- but the good news is it was clear!!! I fretted a year over it and finally finally its over and its good news!!! :)   I really did enjoy the fudge and wine ...MMMM MMMM  MMMM.

Tazzy try to enjoy the outlaws-

Raider girl- I really like what you wrote about survivors. Sometimes I don't feel like one as I didn't have chemo and I had internal radiation so my treatment was done so quickly it was a blur.

Karen have a great party and enjoy your friends visit :)

Enjoy the rest of summer everyone- Harvest has started here so its more like fall :( Seems to go too fast!!

Hello Ladies....I'm one of the lurkers that has been reading and loving the posts over the last year +. Just finished the exchange process and was humming right along in my survivorship.

This weekend I was purging old files and came across my original diagnosis paperwork. Read the post surgery pathology over again and it's shaken me so badly that I can't get the prospect of recurrence out of my mind......how are you dealing with this worry?

I'm feeling good and NED but I am surprised how this has brought me back to that initial panic and worry.F-ing cancer.

Hi volley, I try not to read back on it.   But when I come across the paperwork I think "fuck I was lucky I am still here to talk about it".   Look forward, not back - you're not going that way.

Pleased to decided to join us.

Ah Volley - Tazzy is right. We all keep looking forward. Speed bumps along the way but together we keep on going. We also take our pills and keep all of our doctors appts. So far so good.

Hi Volley, remember the patholgy is only based on statistics and someone elses thoughts of how your body will behave....no-one knows how your body is going to behave.....like believe and tazzy have said...look forward. I burnt my paperwork along with wig as soon as I could and now only concentrate on moving forward.

Good to see your still travelling Aruba. Hope everyone is doing well.xx

Ireland, good to see you post.  I know you were in for a rough ride with BIL's sister?  Hope is as good as it can be considering the circumstances.  I bet you are excited to break open the books?  Studying when you want to is one of the pleasures in life.

was at a friends daughter's wedding in Sorrento, BC yesterday.   Was at a really beautiful campsite/retreat.    After the service we were walking back to our camper, I rolled my ankle and have broken my ankle in 2 places.   Surgery tomorrow.

What a bummer to say the least !

Hope everyone is managing to enjoh the sun today.

Oh Tazzy, so sorry to hear that~~enough already of surgeries.

While hiking last week I found I had a foreign body in my heel. Saw GP day after my return from Mt. Baker and tiny sliver of metal removed. All good but he was concerned about a mole on sole of same foot. Sadly I allowed a dermatologist to persuade me to allow her to do paunch biopsy. What was I thinking considering I am leaving for Nepal in under 3 weeks to trek again! Good news is she rushed the pathology and only two days and she called last night~~no cancer. I need to be more assertive though I know it is good news. BC causes paranoia I think. Problem is that feet heal slowly and often badly but I am hoping for the best. Meanwhile off my foot and training off!

    Hello to all of you!
