Thanks I hope no one gets offended. I was just looking back through my sketch book and so happy that I made it through these darks days and proof that we can handle the really bad days and make it through it! I needed some motivation today to get my rear out of the house and do something fun and active! Like maybe the grocery store:)

Maureen-welcome! Our goal should be to have the largest (not in weight) group on the BC site.

I have a lot of catching up to do after yesterday. I hope everyone is feeling better! So far my family has avoided the flu. We must keep washing our hands. Small steps.

Scottie - I found some non soy whey shakes at the health food store. What do you think of those for meal replacement to help weight loss? Along with the beast Of course.

Congratulations to everyone who lost weight this past week. Tazzy, I love the cheerleaders! Mc Cook, I will look for your drawings.

Maureen - welcome! One thought to add to what others have said - I started taking probiotics twice daily during chemo and I continue to take them now - I think they really help with getting digestion back to normal.

Scottie/GMAFoley - hope you feel better soon. I've had some laryngitis for two weeks (after Herceptin treatment), MO doesn't think it's from that, thinks it's viral. It will be interesting to see what happens with next week's Herceptin

McCook - powerful sketches, especially the first one, see her in the mirror every morning. So good to hear of your hair re growth. Hope your arm settles down re: LE symptoms. I'm Inspired to go do some morning yoga :)

Know I've missed some, on my iPad and can't go back a page or lose what I'm typing now.

    Have a good day!

Mcook- I had tears in my eyes looking at your sketches! I agree very powerful! Keep posting them.

Gmafoley- I can't wait to see your numbers when you start dropping them.

Scottie- I love you as a cheerleader. Keep up the great work.

Tazzy- did you dance on the table after your beer and red wine?!

Juneau- I haven't watched your hair story yet, but I do intend to.

Thursday I was having a hell of a day with being disappointed about not losing weight, that I was tested all FUCKING day! I had to go over to the main hospital to pick up some supplies for my office. on my way back I pass the drug rep carrying two boxes of fresh donuts! Of course my eyes automatically shift to the boxes. The guy looks at me get this oh shit look on his and starts walking faster. He came very close to getting pounced so instead I drink my water and got the hell off that floor. On my way back from a delivery guy from Papa Jons walks past me with 4 huge still hot pizzas! I almost ripped those damn things out of his hands and ran like a mad woman. Again I drank that fucking water!!!! Finally get over my cravings for pizza and donuts, I get home and what the hell is in my chair?!?!?! Fucking cookie dough fundraiser package! Are you fucking kidding me? I'm struggling to lose weight and this is what is in my chair? What do I do?? Drink my damn water and go get on the bitch and walk out my frustration. Yeah Thursday was not nice to me but I did not cheat!!!

LMAO Chrisrenee! Someone is testing you! Walk that frustration away! I figure I want to wear a swimsuit this summer and see how my new Tatas will look in it so trying to find my motivation today! I am drinking hot lemon water w honey and cinnamon because it is the only way I will stick with H2O! I am heading to trader joes to get some veggies for my juicer...I hope this time they don't go to waste again:) I am good for a few days then get out of the habit. Cookie Dough fundraiser ..now that is just plain evil because I love to eat cookie dough! This is why I don't bake very often:)

Believe....good for you that you are looking for things to help you with your weight loss.

I have two answers because I don't want everybody pouncing on me.

Dietitians answer.....not a good idea (ok ok don't pounce) these are not sustainable and nor should they be. Dietitians never talk about a "diet", they talk about "life changes",

so they would never recommend taking these to replace a meal...not something you can

    sustain for life.

Cheerleader's answer (in order not to be banned from here) go for it, if you think it will help, but try to think short term only.

Chrisrenee....I think we have to give you the gold star this week for not only having the funniest story but your "courage and bravery" when you were faced with so many

"dangerous situations" ....I commend you. 👍

You gals are amazing ....losing weight is one of the hardest things to accomplish....you will all get there......if you don't....I personally will hunt you down and kick your ass 😡

Another dietitian's tip....try getting on the scale every two weeks instead of every week.

Our weight fluctuates so much, for many reasons .....going two weeks might see larger numbers for you. I was never an advocate of scales.....too frustrating....always told my patients to measure inches and to have that favourite pair of jeans on display as an incentive.

Ok....I've said enough....talk to you all later (if I'm still permitted on this thread). 😜

Scottie - we love you! I never measured to begin with, sorry about that now. I weight morning and night daily. My scales stuck! I will try to spread it out a bit. I've tasted two different shakes so far. Awful but in a hurry, they put something in my stomach.

Chris-donuts, pizza and cookie dough in one week. Egads! You did great with a capital E! You can do anything!

Chris- if donuts were a food group, I could live on them. Unfortunately they offer no redeeming value. My boss would be so unhappy when I stopped at the donut shop when I went to work, but they disappeared in two minutes, counting the one I ate the distance between my office and the donut shop. So bad! Those days are history- including the job!

I have yet to formally weigh in and post weight loss here, but I had some inspiration today.  Actually 2 things.

First I started using My Fitness Pal to record my morning walks and all the food I shove in my mouth.  Excellent as it is right there so you can see what you have left for calories the rest of the day.

Secondly, I was wondering the bakery department at the grocery store and looking at something for my sweet tooth urge (knowing I shouldn't) and I saw my old Weight Watcher leader one aisle over in the bread section.  That was enough right there to make me run to the check-out!  Not that I am scared of her, but I would feel very awkward talking to her in the brownie and butter tart aisle.

Tazzy, I will be sending you my numbers on Monday.  Congratulations on the successes posted here...you gals rock!

Well, I completely weenied out on weigh-in at Kaiser last week (just blew it off), and my bathroom scale and I still aren't speaking.

HOWEVER, I did go back to my water aerobics class yesterday....for the first time in five months!!! It's the therapy pool at our local rehab hospital - heated to 94 degrees, and soooo soothing on sore muscles and joints.

I did about 90 minutes of movement...some cardio, some stretching... I'm SO glad I went back. That was the hardest step.

I'll try to go again on Monday.

You guys are all staying strong in the face of temptation.  I am impressed.  I am doing my best to consume maximum leaves, fruits and little green things.  Did break down and go to Korean restaurant in NYC today-  not too much damage.  The breakfast cinnamon bun was probably a mistake,  but I literally walked for about 5 hours.  Will not be able to move tomorrow, as lately exercise has been walking from waiting rooms to treatment tables.  At least I proved I can get back out there now.  Was great to feel normal and have a whole day devoted to fun.

Websister- I just blew it though! We went to Olive Garden with our BF's for dinner and i devoured my entire dinner( probably without breathing and chewing)! I had been so good with not havibg ANY carbs the last two weeks. Tonight i didnt care pasta and 2 pieces of bread, I did have salad but no dessert. I figure my bread and pasta made up for that. So tomorrow I get to do my elliptical after I meet up with a couple of ladies from the Texas thread tomorrow. I'm excited!

Chrisrenee - don't beat yourself up, you didn't blow it, you took a slight detour and now your are back on the main route. It sounds like a good meal and you were making choices re: salad/no dessert. Tell yourself you chose to indulge a little this evening and now you are choosing to 'get on with it'.

Enjoy the elliptical and your time with the 'Texas ladies' tomorrow.

GMA and Websister- I could have done with something healthier, but I didn't. I strayed tonight and starting Monday I have to try to walk 1.5 miles so maybe I can walk it off this week.

I am very excited about meeting others from Texas, will post a pic of that tomorrow.

Mayah930; how wonderful. I remember how fucking GRATEFUL I was to be nearing my last tx. I thought at one point that it would just never come! Make room for me in your pocket next week.

Mayreen1: try making veg soups. Purée the veg and put it back into the broth. Your body can start to get used to fiber again. Salad and nuts I can't eat because I have chrons disease. They are just too hard on the digestive tract, period.

Tazzy; I always thought it was BOLLUCKS!? (Also a personal favorite). I must admit, the C word when used with a proper Aussie accent is quite wonderful as well. They just use it in such a different way that it looses its vulgarity.

So I still have Saturday to catch up on so I may have to post again after I finish reading, but I got on The Bitch today. That makes 2 days in a row. I made a puréed butternut squash soup with curry seasoning, allspice and cyanne pepper a d then added diced apples. 130 cal for 2 cups and "Ooh So Good" (ok who remembers that cooks name from abc). I went out for dinner and had seared tuna, no rice- spinach instead. But FUCK I'm still wanting to eat more! I'm not hungry per-say, but I want startch. Big piles if pasta and bread. I want to eat until I'm stuffed to the gills! So bloody unhealthy; the things my brain/emotions wants for my body. Argh....! TOURTURE I TELL YOU, TOURTURE! And that scale moving so slowly makes it feel like an effort in futility... But alas I know it's not. I've done this a couple times before, and it will start to come off...it HAS TO... PLEASE GOD?!?! Help me out here would you?!

    xoxooooo ladies!
