Well the day before Mothers day! What have we all got planned? My geuss is all my kids will be at my house for dinner, seeing as when they ask me to go out it usually means I have to pay for it. I think Id rather just cook here. Or rather dh will since hes in charge of the grill. ds#2 will be back from Fla. today, have to brave the traffic and pick him up in Charlotte at 5. Its been a nice quiet week, but I miss him. Hes a good kid. Never been any trouble, and even at 21 still calls and lets me know what hes doing. He'll make a fine navy man and signs the papers in August.

Yes Scottieeeeee!  I didn't think I was the only one.... kind of sad. Calm  mornings and afternoons make up  for the shenanigans of Dr. Jekyl... or is it Mr. Hyde?   I just thank God for mornings....  They sort of erase the nights before.  Wink

Maybe I should be thankful for THAT, and not worry about something I can't do anything about.....

Chevyboy: your post makes my heart so heavy. My brother does the same to his wife everyday. She will call me so upset in the evenings and then all is forgiven in the mornings. They have been together over 40 years. The things he goes off on are crazy...they don't even make sense. She is also a b/c survivor f over 20 years! Our parents did not drink and never had a cross word so he didn't learn his actions at home. We have to have a place in our hearts for them for what makes them drink to excess and the family life and fun that they miss out on due to their bad behavior. I wish u peace in the evenings and lots if good books. It breaks my heart to see my brother behave this way, and for you to have to go through this daily.

Shells, so sorry I disappeared last night. My tablet kept freezing AND I've lost the stupid stylus to type with. I just gave up in frustration. I hope you couldn't hear the swear words!

I agree I feel so bad whe I hear these type of things, I was with one but only 6 yrs. and I had enough.  I was to chicken to try to stick it out. I wanted to come home not to a WTF will happen when I walk in the door to calmness when I walked in my door. I never looked back. And I started enjoying things again. I give u credit for u'r patience in their problemed world, I didn't have the guts to stay in it to see if it would get better-it might have gotten better but I just didn't have the I can do this attitude, I'm a wimp. LOL

So tomorrows Mother's day, I miss my mommy.I was so blessed with my parents and whe I was young didn't realize it, I thought all parents where like that. Then I learned.

I miss my mom too. She died last Feb., so last year I was still kind of numb. I miss her this year. She was 87 when she died and such a trooper. We would spend mothers day with her at her beach house and I miss it so much.

My Dearest Miss Chevy.......I can only say I feel your pain....I was married for almost 20 years to a drinker...he was a good man...drinking never interfered with work...but each year the drinking increased....your post so screamed a loud visual for me it was scary....I made vows and honored them...but the last 10 years were miserable for me...he just did not grow up....my marriage ended in divorce....I strangely got lucky...he fell in love with a woman from MN while working up there...thanks to my legal background I got divorced fast and he left me basically everthing...it was devastating at the time....but looking back it was the best thing that could of ever happened to me...I met the love of my life very unexpectedly and have the life I deserve with a truly remarkable man now. I send your strength and tolerance as I know some days are more trying than others...so I will STFU now and just send you hugs.....♥

Blondie, the book is titled, "Making Rounds with Oscar: The Extraordinary Gift of an Ordinary Cat" by David Dosa.  It's a very good book.  I highly recommend it.

Dana are u home yet from the graduation or have u gone yet? Or am I totally confused?

Boy this thread goes fast, it started out steady and now it's ripping the pages off. Wow can't keep up.

I like the purple. I've always wanted to put blue on mine. Not the stuff that makes it look white, maybe royal blue.

    All graduated....special education/intervention specialist degree.....YAY!

Thanks to Miss Sas...I realized I am kinda special...no not "special"..lol....my surgery 3ish weeks ago was kinda different than most.....I had a double mastectomy (original size DD) with immediate reconstruction with my own tissue from stomach (and some breast tissue from prophyalactic right non-cancerous breast tissue tested during surgery) ...NO TE's as I had enough of my own skin to immedistely reconstruct... I also have NO drains either... surgery was about 5-6 hours. This surgery is about 2 months new at Cleveland Clinic. I was a good candidate due to my sexy young age and effervescent (sp?) personality...lol ...now a size B-C or so...still swollen so not quite sure yet!
