AC - Any non-horror stories? Tips?
Hi everyone, I will be starting AC soon after 12 weekly TC+Keytruda doses. Although it wasn't a walk in the park Taxol was manageable for me. I've read many horror stories regarding AC and it is nicknamed "the red devil" for a reason. I'm just trying to find a ray of sunshine in this storm and wanted to hear from you…

Steroid let down? Who has this
Ok so I’ve had my first chemotherapy Wednesday. Today is Friday and I feel steroid let down. I’m not sick, just sad and kinda tired. I hate steroids they just lift you way up and throw you down. Is there anyone else that have felt this way after the steroids wear off? Thanks

Post chemo and still have cancer cells
hi- hoping someone might have advice on what I should push for next. I’m 42 and just finished a summer of DMX and 4 cycles of TC chemo. I had stage 2A IDC grade 3, onco 17,and extensive LVI (lymphovascular invasion). I’m now heading into hormone therapy stage with Lupron shots and AI drugs. I went to a naturopathic…

TCHP Fingernails
Hi, I finished 5/6 rounds of TCHP Oct 12, 2021 then my nails started turning. Did this happen to you? Do they grow back like normal? It seems that my fingertips are changing shape and my fingerprints are disappearing (can't use to open doors at work anymore/I can't see them). My derm said he didn't know if they will grow…

Neuropathy w/AC?
I had my 3rd AC infusion last week, and last night I noticed the tips of my fingers feel callused, like there's something between my skin and whatever I'm touching. I see the MO next week, but I was curious if anyone else had neuropathy issues with AC - neuropathy was mentioned to me for Taxol, which I start on 1/26, but…

Has anyone had COVID while doing chemo?
What was it like? I am vaccinated and boosted and don't leave the house much, but the apparent transmissibility of the Omicron variant has me a little concerned, especially since my husband has to go to work each day and there are few, if any precautions there.

My Chemo experience
Hi Everyone!! So glad I found this site. It's very helpful so you don't feel totally alone while going through this difficult time in our lives and wanted to share my story also. I was diagnosed end of March 2021 with Stage 2 that went into my lymph nodes and very aggressive type. They started me on the ACT regimen right…

Starting Chemo November 2021
I haven't seen a thread for those of us staring chemo in November, and thought I'd start one. I've been lurking in the earlier Starting Chemo topics but thought it would be good to go through this with others. Friday, 11/12/21 I will have a port placed - scared to death about what it will be like, even after reading others…

Starting Chemo May 2019
Have been trying to find one started for May 2019 with no luck. Starting 4months of AC+T May 2nd every 2 weeks. Scared out of my mind and not sure where to start. I still feel lost about the whole process. Do you meet with someone before it happens or do you just sit in a chair and they start?

Starting Chemo March 2021

Signatera test
Our mo recommended the Signatera test before chemo and then again after. My understanding is that it tracks stray cancer cells in the blood and will determine if the chemo was effective. My question is what if the test is still positive post chemo? Does that mean that a recurrence is inevitable? How would that be typically…

Fingerprint changes?
I'm wondering if anyone else out there has had problems with their fingerprints while on chemo. I have to use my fingerprint with two applications at work, and in the past 2 weeks or so have had trouble logging in. We tried re-enrolling different fingers and the scanner said my fingerprint is now "poor quality" and it…

Common cold during weekly taxol? Anyone have experience?
I’m wondering if anyone past or present contracted a common cold during weekly taxol? My four year old has a cold once again (tested Covid negative). This is the third cold to make it into our house this month. Our parents are helping out a lot and taking the kids whenever they get the start of something, but I’m worried…

Starting Chemo June 2014
I guess I'll be the one who starts the June Chemo Club. Please share if you will also be having chemo starting June. I met with my MO today. I wasn't sure if she was going to recommend chemo or not since I only had one positive node. My Mammaprint was low risk and my BS gave me the impression that I may not have to have…

Starting Chemo April 2021
Hello and Happy Easter! Thought I’d start an April 2021 chemo thread as I didn’t see one made yet. I technically started 3/31, 4 AC first then 12 rounds of taxol. Surprisingly my side effects have been very minimal so I’m grateful for every hour I feel well. I was so happy to be able to enjoy Easter with my family today. I…

Tiffany`s Twenty Terrific Tips for TC
I just wanted to share with everyone my tips for getting through TC chemo, which I think helped me a lot. My only symptoms were a touch of nausea on days 3-4, a bit of diarrhea, constipation, dry mouth, and fatigue. I never got sick. 1. During chemo and for several days afterwards, drink a LOT of water. I drank 3 liters a…

Lower back pain from Zarxio?(white blood cell booster)
Hey everyone, my mom is 8 days into her second cycle of AC. This cycle her oncologist ordered 7 doses of Zarxio (figramstim) instead of the 3 she initially had first cycle due to low absolute neutrophil count. Last night she mentioned around 2 am she had slight lower back pain, she figured it was gas since she's been very…

I am starting my chemo journey mid May 2021. My chemo port was put in yesterday and was much more painful than I expected. I am in less pain today and experiencing some discomfort. Hoping it will minimize soon. I am a bit nervous about starting chemo and managing the side effects. Anyone else nervous? I could not find a…

Starting Chemo in February 2016?
I didn't see a thread starting for *my* month, so I figured I'd start one... Anyone else getting ready to start their chemo in February? I start my first tx on Feb 16th.
