Attitude Debate
I have been a regular poster on breastcancer.org for over 2 years and this is my first time to start a topic. It seems that on a lot of threads lately, the original question gets sidelined by the discussion of attitude. So I thought maybe if we had a place to discuss that specific issue, it would alieve that problem. Plus…

No pCR and still alive and living happy lives
Dear all, Today I have started My first session of Palictaxel out of 12. I have had 4 ACs and the tumor has shrunk from 19 m to 8 mm. I was expecting a full response because nobody felt the tumor anymore, but unfortunately that was not so. Yet I am happy with the 8 m left. My oncologist does not want to put me on carbo…

High B12 levels
I had 15 chemo infusions(last one 5 weeks ago), I am preparing for double mastectomy with reconstruction and had blood analysis 10 days prior to surgery.(next week) PET Scan was clean and blood results came two days ago mostly good but I had a very high B12 level of 1335. I got extremely scared reading online what high B12…

Mets during active treatment? Possible?
My wife's currently undergoing treatment for stage IIIb TNBC. She had a 4cm mass that was misdiagnosed as a fibroadenoma and removed via lumpectomy. Subsequent PET CT showed an enlarged axillary LN 3.6cm with no evidence of distant mets. She's currently completed 4 AC and 8 cycles of weekly pacli and carbo (with Keytruda…

"Atypical cells"
Hey My mom has been diagnosed with TNBC this month. She has performed surgery today and is expected to undergo chemo in a month. She went through MRI and PET that showed no involvement other than the primary tumor site. Today the surgery occurred, and after finishing we were notified by the surgeon that they have not seen…

Xeloda for "Maintenance" purposes (not Stage IV)
I was given Xeloda last year for "maintenance" purposes, and to say that I had a difficult time on it is an understatement. After some adjustments to the dosage, I was taken off of it after only three cycles (we tried lower doses.) I was diagnosed with a recurrence in July. It was physically present a month after having…

To the newly diagnosed: 6 Years With TNBC, Still Going Strong
Good morning, everyone. I’m stopping in after a long hiatus to offer some help to those newly diagnosed with TNBC. Almost 6 years ago I was diagnosed with stage 3C triple negative breast cancer. I was in total shock, grief, and had to stop working due to anxiety and depression. I have had two recurrences since then. I am…

Partial response to chemotherapy
Hi all, I had my first ECO few days ago half through the chemo(almost done first cycle, 10 infusions out of 12). In spite of a rather aggressive approach: 12weeks of Paclitaxel & Carbo, with Keytruda every 3 weeks (will be followed of Adriamicin & ...I keep on forgetting the second and Keytruda) I have only 60% shrinkage…

Tumor oscillating in size during chemo
Hi all! I have been diagnosed in early August with TNBC 30mm stage 2, grade 3, no lymph node involvement. I am negative for all 132 gene mutations, PD-L1 positive and TILS positive. I also had an 8mm spiculated nodule on one of my lungs that didn`t show activity on PET SCAN and was dismissed as scar..that still worries me.…

Androgen Receptor Positive TNBC
Has anyone had their tumor tested for AR? I had a very poor response to neoadjuvent chemotherapy, which was a surprise because I had a complete clinical response, and am pretty young- which are both usually indicative of a good response to chemotherapy. I have been making rounds on second opinions since getting my surgical…

Nivolumab - anyone tried this immunotherapy?
I was on keytruda during my chemo (AC-T) but had to stop after 2 doses due to a prolonged fever and elevated heart rate, which apparently is a rare side effect. Now I'm done with chemo and radiation, my Onc wants me to try another PD-1 immunotherapy drug called Nivolumab. I see it's not yet FDA approved for breast cancer,…

Sentinel Node Biopsy
Hello all, My wife was recently diagnosed with TNBC and upon scans it showed that her tumor was roughly 5cm. She did a PET, Bone and MRI. Hi, new and just diagnosed with TN
I’m in shock mainly because I’m 56 and have been on estrogen and progesterone since 2016 so when they first saw something I was sure it was the hormones! It seems to strike the younger more often. Anyone else this age when diagnosed? We are still waiting for the PDL-1 results. Mt KI-67 is 54% and my mass is 2.4 cm and…

Hi lovely ladies, Just wondering if any of you with TNBC had surgery prior to chemo? I know it’s protocol now to have surgery before chemo but I have also seen some stories were surgery was performedbefore and the ladies are doing fine. It seems a bit counter-intuitive to me. What do you guys think?
