Fareston/Toremifene
I am post menopausal and in addition to BC, I also have Rheumatoid Arthritis. I've had the arthritis for over 30 years. The RA is under control so I did not want to go on any of the aromatase inhibitors due to the side effects of joint and muscle pain. My oncologist was really pushing one of the AI's. We had many…

Zoladex bone pain
Has anyone had brief, sharp bone pain during hormone therapy? Similar to the Neulasta bone pain perhaps? I've been on Exemestane and Zoladex for about 14 months. I try to run a few times each week. I can't correlate the pain to any event/timing other that it seems to be more prominent during weeks when I'm lazy with…

I am SO upset - need a reality check....
I had my 2nd meeting with the MO I chose today. The backstory is that when I was diagnosed the BCS was on vacation and I couldn't get in for 3 weeks, so I saw the PA who I loved. She told me at that meeting that I had to choose my team, and gave me a list of MOs, and Radiation Therapists. She told me that they would review…

Could There Be Some Real Hope on the Horizon for ER/PR+?
I just came across this article and thought I'd share. Wasn't quite sure just where to post, but since hormone therapy is an ER/PR+ thing, I thought I would put it here. This new study looks amazing - maybe too good to be true? They've got some ways to go yet of course; as it hasn't even been tested yet in humans, but I…

Are lower doses of Tamoxifen just as effective?
Hi, I found a study on Evidence Watch yesterday that said Norweigen researchers had found that lower doses of Tamoxifen were as effective as the standard dose. I can't find that study today, because that website is REALLY hard to navigate. Has anyone else heard that about lower doses? I'm really small - maybe I won't need…

Runners and other Athletes on Tamoxifen
Hey ladies. I scoured the tamoxifen threads and didn't find much related to this topic, so I thought I would start it. Cant deal with letrozole, is tamox an option?
I am seriously thinking about going off this med that I've faithfully taken for 2.6 years. I was hoping to make it 5, but the SE's are getting really old. I know my risk of recurrence is small, 3mm tumor found in 6 mm of DCIS, but there is risk. I am not sure how much? I will be talking to my MO on the 17th. I am 64 and…
