Fibroglandular parenchyma, benign mass, dense breasts?
"FINDINGS The breasts are heterogeneously dense, which may obscure small masses Right The area of concern in the 5:00 breast 9 cm from the nipple correlates with benign fibroglandular parenchyma on diagnostic mammography and targeted ultrasound. A benign mass is also present in the middle 3rd of the upper inner breast.…

Does anyone know anything about milk fistulas after biopsy?
Hi all, I had a core needle biopsy for a suspicious lump (I found out later they rated it BIRADS 4B). It was a lactating adenoma, which fortunately is benign. Unfortunately, I now have a milk fistula. I am breastfeeding and it sounds like the needle from the biopsy hit a duct. I'm gushing milk from the incision site and am…

Phyllodes Tumor…anyone else?
I have a long thread in the not diagnosed forum about my tests and biopsy that led me to this point. I'm having surgery Friday to remove a likely phyllodes tumor. The dr said the pathology couldn't rule out a benign or low grade phyllodes tumor, and then when she checked it, it has grown quite a bit since my biopsy 9 days…

Interpreting Benign Pathology Intraductal Microcalcifications
Hello all first time poster. I am a 39F classified as high risk with a 40% lifetime risk of developing breast cancer due to family history (no gene mutations) and previous biopsy result of Usual Ductal Hyperplasia (my understanding slightly increases risk). I go in for 6 month screenings for the last 4 years; rotating MRI…

ADH.with acroprine and refusing lumpectomy surgury
This year I learned from my biopsy that I have benign breast results AdH with acroprine metaplasma. And I'm not going through with the hook wire surgury. Has anyone refused to do surgury? They say it's benign. I dont want to go thru surgury when they say it's not even cancer yet. And I don't want to have to take tomoxi…

Intraductal Papilloma with Microcalcifications
I was just diagnosed with intraductal papilloma with microcalcifications after stereotactic biopsy. I'm being referred to a surgeon for follow up. From what I'm reading, it seems as if surgical excision will/should be performed due to the location (peripheral vs. centrally located) as well as the evidence of…

3D mammograms
Hello, I'm still learning to navigate breastcancer.org. I started getting 3D mammograms in 2016, thinking since they are more detailed, the mammogrms would be able to distinguish between benign and cancerous. Wrong. My last one led to a core needle ultra sound guided biopsy which was unlike my twelve other needle biopsies…

Stroma microcalcifications
So I had a biopsy last week for microcalcifications. I got my results and it shows “left breast fatty tissue with rare microcalcifications” only follow up is routine mammogram in August 2022. Has anyone else had this dx or does anyone have any insight into this pathology? Thanks

Radial Scar, rare microcalcifications
Hi, I had recently had a diagnostic ultrasound after my obgyn found several lumps. Only one was problematic - a complex csytic mass measuring 12mm in my right breast - and I was encouraged to get a biopsy. I had a biopsy a few years ago and was found to have PASH so I wasn't too worried. I got the pathology report back…

I suspect I have an intraductal papilloma - what can I expect?
I am 31 years old and have been having bloody discharge from one nipple for about two and a half weeks. I went to urgent care about it after the first couple days. The blood comes in small drops when I gently squeeze my nipple, sometimes looking like straight blood and sometimes mixed with clear fluid. I am scheduled for a…

Should I go back?
I've had a small lump under my nipple for probably about 3 years. Got it checked they wernt concerned. Went back like a year later as it had got bigger, nipple started inverting but she actually told me she was less concerned (she hadn't made any expression of concern before then). I pushed because of the changes, got a…

How long did you have to wait…
For those whose pathology came back with benign findings, how long did you have to wait for results of your biopsy? I had my biopsy on Friday the 28th, and they are still not back as of today, Thursday the 3rd. It feels like an eternity waiting and it makes me wonder if it means the outcome of the biopsy is bad. Thanks

ALH, PASH, Sclerosing Adenosis - Remove?
I am 47 years old and high risk (27.2%) and have MRI and mammo screens rotating every six months. I also had a breast reduction in 1995 so I have quite a bit of scar tissue and I also have dense breasts - my mother had DCIS removed at age 63. I had a prior biopsy in 2015 that was a ruptured cyst with fibroadenomatoid…

Mild breast pain on right side (had IDC on left side in 2015)
I've had mild pain in my right breast for the last two-ish weeks. I saw my surgeon about it and she scheduled a mammogram for Feb 9 (that was the soonest available). I asked her if an MRI or sonogram would be appropriate, and she said an MRI would probably show too much and a sonogram not enough. You can see my history in…

Fibroadenoma that didn’t show on ultrasound
Hello, I’m high risk so I get regular MRI’s. On my last one they found a new mass, that they then tried to see on an ultrasound, but it didn’t show there. I had it biopsied but I’m very worried and trying to think of all the benign things it could potentially be to reassure mysel. I’m wondering if anyone has ever had a…

Lump gone after biopsy?
Hi, I've had a lump just under my nipple that has been monitored by mammogram and ultrasound for about two years. It was pretty much round, mostly smooth feeling and not painful. After my last checkup, the radiologist said that she's pretty sure it's not anything to worry about, but she booked me for a biopsy anyway. I had…

Waiting for biopsy again
I’m 58 no family or personal history of bc. Last year when I had my mammogram and double breast ultrasound (I have dense breasts, level C) the radiologist saw distortion in left breast. I then had mri which came back highly suspicious of dcis BiRADS 4 and then I had another mri for the biopsy—7samples we're taken. The…

Maybe someone can explain me this?
So I have lumps in my breasts, I posted before but long story short after bi rads 4 ultrasound, MRI was ordered which ended as bi rads 2 and then another ultrasound to compare the results - bi rads 3. What concerns me is that since these were done by different doctors, the way they described results also differ and I have…

Diagnosis Usual Ductal Hyperplasia---surgery?
My diagnosis was Usual Ductal Hyperplasia (UDH). It's been in my breast for seven years, although I never received any indication of it in the letters from Radiology about my mammograms, and my primary care physician never discussed it with me. What a blow. I'm still gathering data because some of the research papers on…

Normal cells a surprise so they want to do surgery
Hi everyone. I am going for a second opinion next week but was hoping to "speak" to someone who has had a similar experience. 2 1/2 years out; Could the Atypia be back?
In June of 2019, I woke up on my husband's 58th birthday with a bloody discharge from the nipple on my left breast. I walked into the kitchen a blubbering mess, convinced I was dying,…

Complicated cyst ?
I just had my mammogram yesterday , 9 months after my mastectomy (left breast) for DCIS. I was nervous a bit coming to my appointment.
