Introduction—Has it been hard to tell people?
Hi, I am newly diagnosed with IDC grade one. My doctors so far are optimistic about treatment and prognosis. My lumpectomy is scheduled for next week. I am nervous about the pathology report. I actually met with my surgeon on my 68th birthday. Happy birthday to me! Aside from my family, I’ve only told one other friend, so…

Anyone else with just liver mets
is there anyone else on the board with stage IV only in liver? It seems everyone else has liver and….bone,brain,etc. I’m not complaining but at age 77 keep wondering what’s next or if we are missing something. I feel so sad for the young women and feel I’ve had a full life and I know where I’m going when I die. Not in a…

NBN Genetic Mutation...anyone else?
Hello, I was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 29. Genetic testing was brought up shortly after my diagnosis. I decided against it, at the time, for several reasons...the cancer institute in the city I live does not have a genetic counselor so I would have had to travel 5+ hours for this, no family history of breast…

Period after chemopause
I went through AC-T chemo 7 years ago at 40 which put me into chemopause. I have been taking aromatase inhibitors since then. I am now 47 and am having my first period. Did anyone else have this happen? I have a call into my oncologist and ob-gyn. Just wondering if it has happened to anyone else.

Compression Sleeve for Long Flights?
Background: I do not have lymphedema post lumpectomy and sentinel lymph node removal (May 2023). However I did end up with painful cording a few weeks after surgery which subsided with physio and massage. Uni mastectomy 2021, want other side out now
I had IDC in 2021 and had a uni mastectomy with rads and chemo, currently on AI and ovarian suppression. I find I'm having more anxiety about recurrence and I'm not sure why. Perhaps it partly has to do with recently finding out that a family member is now dealing with her new diagnosis of IDC. I'm also seeing that the…

Not diagnosed, waiting for results
I have never posted in anything like this before. I was given a BI RADS 5 rating with an axillary lymph node with 7mm cortical thickening. There’s zero family history, I’m 45 years old, I’ve never had an unusual test result before and other than a few extra pounds I am very healthy. This time I felt a lump but it came out…

Itchy chest wall 2 yrs after reconstruction
I had double mastectomy with immediate reconstruction after previous DCIS lumpectomy and recurrent cancer in both breasts. calling all t1A (> 1 mm but < 6 mm) sisters who are HER2+
I decided to start this thread to help others who may end up in this "grey" area and are struggling to make a decision about chemo/Herceptin or not. Ghost and Other Phenomena: What's your Story?
I have had many in my life, not sure when the earliest occurred. Perhaps, the inner voice that cautions is the strongest in me. Anxious about mixed scan results
Hi all, ER+ HER2- with mets to lung, liver and bones for 6 years. Been on xeloda for about 4-5 months now and had my first scan, which showed significant improvement in all areas except for two stupid little bone mets.
