My 20th year is finally here!
April 28, 2006…the day my life changed forever. As most of you know, it's hard to imagine life beyond those three words "you have cancer" (or in my case it was "we have a problem.") Soon after my diagnosis, my husband & I were on the sidewalk in Cannon Beach discussing my condition with a friend. We were approached by a…

No reconstruction
I chose to go "flat" and have both breasts removed, but I blead to much and my cancer obliterated my left breast. She took four hours on just my left breast. Of course I was asleep but my family was very worried because it was taking so long. The surgery was my greatest fear besides death in this whole thing. I worries…

Histotripsy for Liver Mets. Experiences, Thoughts, Knowledge, Suggestions?
I am in the process of learning about histotripsy for possible liver mets treatment. My oncologist has told me something about the process, and I've read quite a bit also. It is not yet offered at all cancer centers (mine included), so it's sometimes necessary to go to a different clinic for the procedure. Has anybody here…

Anyone on TRUQAP?
Hi all, it looks like I'm going to be starting TRUQAP soon as an alternative to Piqray. However, it looks like TRUQAP and Piqray both come with some pretty nasty side-effects. I was hoping T would be easier than P. From what I've read, it sounds like Imodium AD may become my newest friend. Yuck! I was hoping for an easier…

Confused and Scared
Hi. I'm glad I found this forum. I just turned 63, and in mid-January, I went for my mammogram, and they told me I had 3mm calcifications that "were probably nothing." It wasn't nothing.
