CDK4/6 inhibitors
If you have taken Ibrance or Kisqali or another CDK 4/6 inhibitor, I would appreciate hearing about your experience. I recently had to stop Verzenio because of unmanageable side effects. Oncologist wants me to consider an alternative in that drug class.

Nobody told me...
In the last week of September in 1999, I was first diagnosed with breast cancer. After 8 months of chemo & 8 years of Tamoxifen, I thought I was done with that battle. Last fall, I began to have severe joint pain. 6 months of going from one specialist to another found no diagnosis Then in a routine scan for an unrelated…

MRI for higher risk cases (for my daughter)
Hello, dear All I am this time trying to find out what to advice to my daughter, who is healthy, and she is 46 years old. But as my daughter(i had a breast cancer in 2019, had lumpectomy and radiation, taking exemestane for 5 years), she was told she has 20% risk to get breast cancer during lifetime. No BRCA gene issue, i…

Fat grafting for reconstruction after implant loss
Hi, I am looking to find more recent experience of fat grafting for reconstruction. ie using only liposuction obtained fat, not the DIEP procedure. My surgeon has suggested this for me. It would result in a very small cup, possibly further procedures to "top up" with. He mentioned downtime and pain was "minimal". I was…

Urgent Help! Mastectomy vs. Lumpectomy and Radiation
Hello, I'm new here. I am struggling with a surgery decision. I am scheduled for a double mastectomy next week. I've had a lumpectomy (April) and a re-excision (May). I just finished chemo a little over a month ago (TC x 4). First oncologist wanted ACT x 9, but Stanford tumor board said TC x 4. I was diagnosed in late…

Big hard lumps 2 and 4 cm (from ultrasound). Biopsy preliminary result says very invasive high grade
Freaking out. What stage will I be in? I am worried it has spread everywhere! Is there hope? I have not received the complete biopsy, so I don't know the details. My primary doctor just told me last friday that the preliminary result is that it is very aggressive and high grade. I am 40yo with 8 and 6 year olds. Have not…

Cold cap and hair re growth

I don’t put my hair up and only wash it gently once a week . If it gets much worse I will look scary, but I would still want to continue using cold cap bc apparently…

All about Xeloda
I will complete my first cycle of Xeloda today (2 weeks on; one week off). I have already noticed some signs of HFS on my feet. Sometimes they are red and feel hot. I've had some minor skin peeling, but not any blistering. The heels are the worst (the most sensitive) and it is uncomfortable to walk. I hope I get to see the…

Interesting Re Male Breast Cancer and Drug Access
I just came across this article while doing some general reading about breast cancer and found it unique and interesting. Posting for anyone else who might find it pertinent. Finishing verzenio
I have just finished two years of abemaciclib, following on from surgery, chemo and radiotherapy. Recovery time for Implant reconstruction?
Hi I just had double mastectomy and reconstructive done in September. I had implant right after the mastectomy surgery. However, I’m not very happy with the result. MRI vs US give opposite results. which is more accurate?
39/f here. high lifetime risk @ 35.8%. Eye Issues on Herceptin or Kadcyla?
Hello All, I was originally on Herceptin/Perjeta for HER2 positive cancer, but switched to Kadcyla after lumpectomy revealed some residual disease left.
