Feelings of...........selfishness
I'll keep this short (probably). I was going to write guilty, but selfish seems more fitting. My wife has been battling stage three breast cancer for just over a year. She was diagnosed on Valentine's Day 2022. Done with chemo, done with radiation, taking Anastrazole for 10 years, almost done with gabapentin. She tried…

Anyone repeat BRCA2 gene mutation test
I learned through genetic testing after getting diagnosed with IDC that I had the BRCA2 mutation. The genetics counselor said it had to have been passed down from my father or mother and they would have had it passed to them through their parents. My dad died at 47 of a heart attack but my mom died in her 80’s of a…

Not Sure
I am recently diagnosed with IDC still waiting on what stage. I know it is about 2cm with only one lymph node possibly affected. It is 90% hormone responsive. HER2 negative. Not sure what all that means. I am scared. My doctor is trying to get as much information before we discuss a plan of action.

how many flat women (NOT DOG EARS) have needed a REVISION?
My surgery was over 4 years ago, I go to an educational hospital and one side was clearly done by an inexperienced surgeon. Letting them operate on me is one of the biggest regrets of my life. They left behind a row of tissue/fat below my scar, it is like a row of fat that clashes when I move my body. I also had a seroma…

Any high Ki67 survivor stories out there?
I would LOVE to hear from ANY survivors who had high Ki67 !!!! (Also hormone positive with high Ki67). My Ki67 is 75%, which feels like a death sentence, even though half way through chemo, the tumor has shrunk by about 80%. It has been an emotionally challenging week and I could use some positive (really positive) stories.

On the edge of SEVENTEEN
And this year my cancerversary actually falls on the same day of the week that it did in 2006. I remember that Friday as if it were yesterday - and yet it still feels as if it happened to a different person. This year, instead of waiting for my husband to get home from work so I could collapse into his arms with the…

Swelling post lumpectomy surgery
Has anyone had swelling in the area of their lumpectomy? It’s not where the SLNB was (it’s not under my arm) but above where the lumpectomy scar is. It’s like I can hear water in there. I know some swelling is to be expected but should the area be elevated and filled with liquid? Also, any suggestions on what I can do to…

Help understanding biopsy results
I have no history of breast cancer but went to the doctor for a rash on my breast. I received antibiotics for 10 days but that made no difference. UPDATE: After speaking with Nancy's, turns out they add blue agave in the yogurt which was not on the list of ingredients. After a quick search, it appears many people are allergic to it and have the same hives and itching I experienced. Bottom line, it again felt just like what I felt with my textured implants. SO weird!!…
