Onctoype 16- premenopausal…
what did you do when you were premenopausal and in what the doctor calls the “gray area” (16-25) for chemo and given the option? I’m not sure what to do because I had some things that worried me on my path report and the radiologist oncologist mentioned it as being “more advanced”. I had one of four nodes positive with…

Tamoxifen
Is there anyone here that is currently taking Tamoxifen and is experiencing suicidal bad thoughts? I am on the verge of wanting to stop it all together. Taking an additional anti depression pill is causing even more severe side effects. One pill covering another, when the main issue is Tamoxifen. Anyone reading this, if…

10 years after BC diagnosis, I have mets in lung which are BC
Hi All My oncologist called this morning to confirm that the node in my lung is indeed breast cancer, it took them a few days to figure out but they knew it wasn't lung cancer. I'm so shocked. I had stage I, HER2+ breast cancer diagnosed 10 years ago and had a lumpectomy, lymph node removal (which was clear for cancer),…

Chemo types help
I am so confused!!!! I met with my oncologist who suggested neoadjuvant chemo. AC and then Taxol before surgery. BUT because of my cancer type she said I’m eligible for a mammoprint study. HR+, HER2-, ki-77%, 4.7cm tumor, grade 2, 1 lymph node positive. They said I could be eligible for immotherapy if I do the study so I…

Another confused newbie...
I am feeling very alone in all of this. I went from a perfectly normal mammo, to a cyst that just needed to be drained to a highly suspicious BI-RADS Category 0 to a highly suspicious 4C diagnostic ultrasound and Abnormal lymph nodes in 3 months' time. My doctor said she cannot tell me what the diagnostic mammo &…

Increase of Tumor Markers Within Normal Range
Has anyone had experience with tumor markers increasing within the normal range? Since completing treatment I had been staying in the 13-14 range on the CA 15-3 since completing treatment. I just had it increase to 19.6. I know that's a "normal" range, but it is still concerning to me. Thank you all - what a great…

Affording multiple compressions sleeves
Hi all, Curious how many sleeves everyone has at one time. I've been told that you should replace them every 6 months but I can't even imagine doing that with the cost! They say you should have multiple sleeves so when one is being washed, you have another. And then replace them after 6 months? Just curious what everyone's…

The Finishing Touch
I had DIEP reconstruction over fourteen years ago That ended with the plastic surgeon making a little nipple shape (I think it was called a C-V nipple). Since it's pretty much the same color as the rest of my skin, it only gives the illusion of a nipple through clothing. I did some research into areole tattoos back then,…

First Mammogram after treatment
I have my first mammogram after treatment on May 13 and I am really nervous. I know that it should be okay, because they got it all with clean margins and no lymph node involvement. But I have test anxiety for sure. Also, I had a seroma develop in the arm pit area and it had to be drained twice and leaked out of the…

Given my dx, should I adopt a dog?
Okay, bear with. Last year was the sh*ttiest year of my life, bar none. My DH was dx with prostate cancer (now in active tx), I had my own crappy dx (in active tx), and probably the worst hurt was that we had to say goodbye to our own fur girl, Preshy, who had been in our family for 13 years. She was my soul. Got me…

Not sure what kind of scan I should have for possible bone mets
Hi all, I started having pain in my groin/hip area the end of March, not sure if it was caused from exercising. Anyway, it hurts when I walk in hip/groin area. Wearing a ace band as a brace, and I also take pain meds for truncal lymphedema that also helps with the pain. The pain causes my gait to be off & I walk with a…

Newly Diagnosed/Timing/Doctors
I was diagnosed with IDC yesterday. Not a surprise since the radiologist told me it looked like cancer before the biopsy, but the good news is that it is small. I booked an appointment with someone on my list who had an opening. The most recommended surgeons appear to be unavailable for months, or at least 1.5 months. The…

Skin tethering and frustration
After receiving the initial diagnosis in Australia, I went back to my home country, with the advice from the breast surgeon in Australia that the lump could be removed by surgery followed by hormone therapy. Unfortunately, after my doctors back home took a look, they said there is something called skin tethering, that the…
