TNBC Brain Mets - Looking For Hope
Good morning all, first time poster here - having trouble finding similar stories, much less successful stories, that fit the scary place I'm in now. Little background: diagnosed a year ago with stage 2 TNBC. Achieved PCR thanks to chemo — only to have two brain mets pop up almost exactly a year after my first diagnosis.…

Sad News on our dear DivineMrs.M
I received this pm today. Though we all understand the inevitable, each loss still remains painful. I have known Camille for over a decade so this one hits particularly hard. “Hi everyone, this is Camille’s husband posting. I just wanted you all to know that Camille passed peacefully on January 2. My son and I were with…

Pea sized lump - Fibro?
hi all! Well I’ve had many mammos and ultrasounds over the years for dense breasts with lots of lumps, and one biopsy in 2019 for 2 fibros that were overlapping. No cancer and after being on the watch list for 2.5 years I went back to normal testing. A couple weeks back I did a self exam and found a very different kind of…

IBC concern
I have a spot that appeared in my right breast a few days ago, it is smaller than a pencil eraser. I went straight into panic mode bc that is what I do. I literally do not have orange peel look, red/hot/tenderness, nipple is fine, no swelling. Looking for advice and see if this looks concerning. Edited by Mods to remove…

20 year survivor
I am a 20 triple negative stage 1 survivor. I had a mastectomy with tram flap recon and 4 rounds AC chemo. All has been clear on my right breast all this time. I have been cleared for screening mammogram for a few years. Got a call back this time for calcifications. Had a diagnostic today. The radiologist said they are not…

MRI Biopsy Tomorrow
After a 6 week wait, my mri guided biopsy for two bi-rad4 suspicious masses is tomorrow morning. I strangely feel clamer now than I have in the past 6 weeks. The limbo ends tomorrow- whatever they find. Please send me all the good vibes and any advice on how long your MRI biospy took, if you were sore after, how long the…

Implant Reconstruction AFTER Radiation
I have a unique history when it comes to reconstruction. I had saline implants prior to diagnosis and my breast surgeon asked if she could re-implant them when she did my double mastectomy. I then had chemo, followed by radiation. Fast forward 5 years later, and I decided to go for reconstruction. The "old" implants would…

I’d appreciate hearing from anyone taking AIs and a GLP-1 drug for weight loss
I was diagnosed in 11/2022, had bilateral lumpectomy 1/2023 and finished radiation 3/2023. I’ve been taking an aromatase inhibitor for over two years. At first I was on anastrozole and I recently switched to exemestane to see if a switch would help some of my side effects (joint pain, mood swings, anxiety, insomnia). I was…

CBD and Estrogen
Does anyone have knowledge of the relationship of CBD with Estrogen? I recently heard an expert in a lecture say that canabinoids provide estrogen. That contradicts other information available. Does anyone have anything current?

Just received my Pet Scan results
Hi everyone, I have unfortunately been on this site for 9 years now. Diagnosed with early stage in 2015. Then had a recurrence in 2022. Yesterday I had a follow up Pet scan and the indication says "New hypermetabolic abdominal, pelvic, and thoracic lymphadenopathy, presumably reflecting metastatic disease." I briefly spoke…

OYE!!! Joining the Sisterhood and researching!
After my annual mammogram, I got a call from my primary care physician that I needed to go back in and get additional testing. While this was somewhat alarming I didn't worry too much. I religiously get checked every year since my mother had two instances of breast cancer and my heritage also puts me at a higher risk. I…

Hard lump after biozorb
I had a lumpectomy in July for DCIS. They put in a biozorb device. Since then, I have developed what feels like a golf ball in the surgical site, where the biozorb has been placed. Is this normal? Any thoughts about using massage therapy to soften it up? I don't want to dislodge it! Thanks for your thoughts.

Paget's disease with ILC
I have had breast cancer and also have a friend with a rarer case that I can't find a ton of information on. Does anybody know how Paget's disease influences a prognosis? Specifically paget's with an ILC invasive component? I can find some info on it with IDC but nothing with ILC.

Opinions on MRI, Biopsy and Overall Worry
I'm looking for opinions or similar situations. Every year I get my mammo and since cancer they appear hypervigilant. The first few years they wanted to biopsy everything they saw. I had a couple of bad experience with the first two biopsies so I later took charge and said no if it was something that could be watched.…

Hi Ladies, I am wanting to know if there is anything I should consider besides being unable to breast feed about getting pregnant after a double mastectomy? I am impatiently waiting my biopsy results for suspected DCIS and am hoping that we will be able to get away with the surgery and no other treatment, we were trying to…

Questions on Paget's disease
This is my first time to ever post on a blog like this. Honestly, the fact that I am actually doing so scares the hell out of me. I'm hoping to get some clarity on Paget's Disease. The information I have found is minimal, my doctors office doesn't seem to have much experience and the blog comments are old, but I am hopeful…

Calcifications to chemo
After 20 years cancer free from triple negative at age 47 my last screening mammogram came back with loosely grouped calcifications with focal asymmetry. Diagnostic mammogram suggested with ultrasound if necessary. I go Tuesday. I am now 67. I had a left MX with tram flap recon with first diagnosis. My question is can…

Micro-invasive DCIS that is her2+++
By clinical definition a true microinvasion is "IDC(Invasive Ductal Carcinoma) that is 1mm or less in its greatest dimension". As requested a separate forum index for those of us who had true Micro-Invasive DCIS that was her2+++. Yes, we are a rare bunch but lately there have been a few more of us that joined BC.org and…

MRI
Hello! I am 47, I was diagnosed with DCIS (grade 2) last week. My second mammogram confirmed a small (3mm) spot near my nipple. I met with my oncologist on Thursday for my first appointment with him, pretty uneventful since I haven't had my MRI yet. I am scheduled this Thursday for my MRI and then meet with the breast…

Immediate Reconstruction or Wait?
Hi, I am new here and was diagnosed with IDC about 3 weeks ago. I am stage 2, but my tumor is aggressive, so Surgery is scheduled for 4/22. I have a strong family history as well. As of now, they say my lymph nodes are clear and are recommending immediate reconstruction with implants ( I am not a candidate for DIEP flap).…
