Dental work pre-treatment? Uterine polyps and Tamoxifen?
I'm 45, premenopausal AFAIK (more on this later). My biopsy came back as IDC, ER+, PR+, HER2- for a 1cm mass on Friday. Feeling massively overwhelmed, anxious, scared, angry, and just so many emotions, but trying to keep it together so I can plan better. I have appointments with a surgeon and MO at Dana Farber in 2 weeks,…

Newly diagnosed
I just came back from my appointment. Not all tests are back, waiting on one but I have Invasive Mammary Carcinoma, she said right now it's stage 1, but until the last test comes in, we won't know for sure. She was talking about ER and PR I think and one still has not come in. One was low positive, then negative and the…

Oncotype score and feeling bad
My onctotype score came back yesterday and was a 23. I am pre-menopausal and under 50 with a grade 3 tumor so was feeling okay about it until I was reading and realized most people score less and don't need chemo. I will be having taxotere and cytoxan for four cycles three weeks apart. But even with chemo and hormone…

Radiation Induced Morphea of the Breast
hi everyone!!! last fall I was dx'd with radiation induced Morphea 8.5 years after my last treatment. I am currently seeing a radiation oncologist, who has only seen this twice in 20+ years. It is fairly rare and because it is, there are not any tried and true treatment options. I think this may be because a lot of us are…

What grade is “GRADE 1-2/3" DICU?
I just received a surgical pathology exam test result. The grade is “GRADE 1-2/3" and I don’t know what this means. Is it grade 1 to 2 out of 3? Or maybe grade 1 and ⅔ (1.67)? I’ve pasted below details from the test result, in case they’re helpful in answering my question. A. Breast, Right, Right breast- upper outer…

Hope Bells Replace Traditional “Ringing the Bell” at UL in Ky
I am so happy to see this change at one of the hospitals in my state! None of us are ever guaranteed to be “finished" with breast cancer, butthose with recurrent or metastatic cancer often have to watch the bell being rung over and over again by patients who are finished with their current chemo or radiation. I love the…

blood tests to denote spread
Hello. It's been awhile since I posted in this forum, so I have to do some reading up on things, but I'd like to ask when is it warranted to have the blood test that denotes tumor spread? I was dxd stage 2 in late 2019, had 2/2 sentinel + nodes; had a big lumpectomy, 33 days of radiation; and took letrozole for a matter of…

Fatigue- Tamoxifen?
I have pretty decent energy until around 3 every afternoon. Meaningful interactions with people after 7 pm seems impossible. I'm skipping social activities scheduled in the evening because of it. Copious amounts of strong coffee helps some, but then I wake up all night. To me, checking out of humanity at 6 is better than…

At has been 5 years since my diagnosis and treatment. I recently had a CT due to some smelling in my armpit and they found a 3mm lung nodule in my right lower lobe. This is a new finding that wasn't there 8 months ago. My Dr said it is to small to biopsy and could be inflammation. I have a repeat CT in 3 months to see if…

How much worse were side effects after your last treatment?
I am done my radiation tomorrow. I have had 14/15 whole breast radiation treatments. My skin/breast in general is holding up well. I'm a bit pink and slightly/moderately itchy along my reduction scar line. I'd say it's a 3/10 right now. Fatigue is another story. It was fine until about half way. I have days where it's…
