For me, there's a lot of fear and worry over how this will impact my overall well-being... how it will age…

Swollen underarm and node
Hi, I am 14 years out from a stage 1 IDC. Treated with lumpectomy, radiation, and tamoxifen. I had not been worrying much anymore about a recurrence. I went last week for screening mammo and they refused to do it because left underarm was swollen and they said I needed diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound. Went to PC to get…

Implant Reconstruction AFTER Radiation
I have a unique history when it comes to reconstruction. I had saline implants prior to diagnosis and my breast surgeon asked if she could re-implant them when she did my double mastectomy. I then had chemo, followed by radiation. Fast forward 5 years later, and I decided to go for reconstruction. The "old" implants would…

Scares That Turned Out To Be Nothing
Husband here. My wife was diagnosed about 2 1/2 years ago. She is doing well. But that's not to say there haven't been more than a few moments of high anxiety thinking something's wrong or just waiting for test results to rule out a recurrence or mets. I hope it's ok with the great members here that I start a thread that's…

MRI Radiologist Has Me Terrified
I was recently diagnosed via an unconventional route, dermatology, due to spots on my nipples. I've since seen a surgical oncologist and a medical oncologist. Initial thoughts were likely stage one as they could feel no swelling in my lymph nodes and my mammogram and ultrasound were clear. But my MRI came back a couple…
